As both the playwright and the stage manager of the Christmas play at her new school, Tina finds herself in over her head as she deals with a substitute director who clearly doesn t want to be there and a cast of bickering and unevenly talented performers. With her adaptation of A Christmas Carol shaping up to be a total disaster, Tina, in desperation, writes a letter to Santa Claus asking for help. Intrigued, Santa decides to help! Disguising himself as a custodian, he arrives at Tina s school to offer his services. Much of the negativity is coming from Joey, who plays the lead of Ebedeena Scrooge. She might be hurting on the inside, but all that comes out is a mean, hostile spirit... much like Scrooge.
