2nd November 2015
Spring has sprung, the daffodils blooming and many are well into rehearsal for their end of year productions and next years’ programme is locked in. Others are still deciding and there are plenty of new and other well known plays making the choice difficult.
That word Christmas is creeping up on us. The Play Bureau will be closing for 3 weeks from December18th. Just so you know, I will be away meeting a new grandchild.
26th July 2015
Welcome to July newsletter for Play Bureau. As we shiver our way through the winter months, well we are in the south anyway. The days are starting to draw out which is a positive. We have a couple of new New Zealand Playwrights and a number of great new releases this month.
3rd June 2015
Welcome to June newsletter for Play Bureau. It is hard to believe that nearly half the year has passed with lots of productions done and dusted and heaps more in the planning.
Play Assessment Process
As we have a number of plays submitted to us quite often, finding time to read them , appraise them and give feedback rarely happens. Over the past few months we have had discussions with PANZ, and by mutual agreement ,decided to have them to take over this process. This will give our future playwrights a chance to have their play read by a suitably qualified assessor and be given feedback. Plays considered to be of a suitably high standard, will then be submitted to Play Bureau for an additional assessment for commercial worth.
The Playwrights association of New Zealand exists to foster Playwrights new and established , they are the right people to be assessing new plays. There will be a cost to have your work appraised and the rates will be available when the final details have been worked out. We will have a link on the website once up and running, but in the meantime any questions please just email email@example.com
