The Witching Hour
The servant's room of Mrs Colyngham's house towards midnight sets the scene for some erry going's on in the house of the last three weeks. Cook, alongside Iris, the parlour rmaid, have witnessed every night upon midnight a suspicious tapping within the one of the walls on the servan'ts sitting room. Un-nerved by the going's on Cook is awaiting the arrival of Madam Mandrake, a medium who has agreed to come along to give a reading of the suspected ghost. As the eveting progresses, Mrs Colyngham arrived home earlier that expected and surprises both Cook and Iris with hrr reports also of the" illeged tapping".
The arrival of "Madam Mandrake" casts some uncertainty around the "ghost" and the real secret is revealed as to the tapping and the "ghost".
All is sorted and minds set to rest. Or are they!!!!
