Mouse in the House
A young couple, Jeff and Quinn, need to sell the charming Victorian house where Quinn grew up. Unfortunately, just as their open house is about to start, Quinn spies a mouse in the upstairs hallway. Eek!
Their real estate agent, Moira, is mortified and insists they need to hire an exterminator to get rid of the rodent before any potential buyers see it. Kindhearted Quinn, however, insists that no traps, cats, or poisons be used. And so, unbeknownst to the others, each of the three calls an exterminator specializing in humane methods.
Your audience will be holding their sides with laughter at the antics of three sets of exterminators and another person dressed in a mouse costume all attempting to get rid of the rodent with everything from kazoos to Viking weapons! (After all, Quinn didn t say anything about swords and war hammers.) Add in a wild parade of potential buyers and you end up with pure, hysterical havoc as the exterminators prove better at chasing off the potential buyers than the mouse!
With its over-the-top characters and fast-paced plot, this highly flexible show can be performed as a long one-act or a short full length. Either way, this furry farce is sure to tickle your whiskers!
