Sleeping Beauty s fairy tale is turned topsy-turvy when an evil fairy curses baby Princess Amalia to forever stay awake! At least another fairy could soften the blow by wishing for the princess to use her hours of sleeplessness to become accomplished in many pursuits. But now that the princess is 18 years old, all this middle-of-the-night activity especially the trombone concerts has left the whole kingdom desperate for a way to break the curse! Unfortunately, that can t be accomplished with something as simple as a kiss. Instead, it s going to take a ridiculous series of events involving a prince and a broken spinning wheel. The king enlists the help of forest dweller Grismelda and a few new friends from the neighboring kingdom, including trumpet player Prince Hugo, to finally help the princess and the entire kingdom get a sound night s sleep... and a happily ever after ending!
