When Bernard and Marion catch sight of each other in the food hall of a department store they cannot believe their eyes! It must be twenty-two years since they last saw each other. Could they - should they - let this moment go? Marion agrees to go back to Bernard's flat for a drink to talk over old times and find out what has happened to them both in those twenty-two years. And so begins a journey of memory - their first meeting, their love for each other, their marriages, their children - and why after so long they are strangers. And after this meeting will they part again - for another twenty-two years?
